Malaysia Block Access To File Sharing Sites.

I was happily downloading my animes at Megaupload overnight, and when I waked up the next morning, my connection was disconnected. I thought it was something that is usually happened since I used JDownloader, but after blogwalking around, I found this shocking news. That SKMM (Suruhanjaya Komunikasi Dan Multimedia Malaysia) is blocking Megaupload and other sharing sites.

This action was done early this month. 10 of the popular sites are affected:
  1. www.warez-bb.org
  2. piratebay.org
  3. movie2k.to
  4. www.megavideo.com (part of megaupload)
  5. www.putlocker.com
  6. www.depositfiles.com
  7. www.duckload.com
  8. www.fileserve.com
  9. www.filestube.com
  10. www.megaupload.com

I agree some of those sites are distributing 3gp porn stuff and pirate softwarez, but they can't just block our access to it. Some of the files there are for the good cause. ................well, I know there are available even though I never downloaded them.

If you still want to access these sites, I recommend that you use a proxy, which is the best option although its a bit slower. As for animes, don't worry. Torrents are still with us and there is no way that they can block a peer to peer software.

We never know what other sites that they are planning to block soon. Lets just hope that its not Mediafire, Rapidshare or our anime torrent sites.
